SpectraTile Waterproof Ceiling Tiles

WHAT ARE SpectraTile WATERPROOF CEILING TILES? SpectraTile is the only completely waterproof lay-in ceiling tile on the market. SpectraTile ceiling panels are resistant to fungi and bacteria, durable, and recyclable. They are fabricated from extruded polyvinylchloride (PVC) foam with a decoratively embossed surface texture. This all-plastic panel solves the problems of water damage and mold/mildew that traditional fiber-based lay-in panels experience. The ceiling panels are sized to be installed in suspended metal lay-in ceiling grids.

Typical Application

SpectraTile Waterproof Ceiling Tiles can be used in commercial and residential buildings. 2'x2' or 2'x4' tiles fit into most grid systems without bowing or lift-off. Optional clips may be used to clamp tiles down for uneven grid systems.

Package Contents

Each carton contains 10 pieces measuring 24" x 48" x 3/16".

Installation Coverage

Each package covers an area of 80 sq. ft.

Low Maintenance

Cleaning: Vacuum or brush grid and panels to remove dust. Clean grid and panels of all marks, smudges, and clinging dirt with moist cloth and mild soap. Remove all debris from space above ceiling.

Clean using any household cleaner. Spray detergent onto clean rag and wipe. SpectraTile is unaffected by most corrosive chemicals, but avoid using solvents or lacquer thinner. Do not use abrasive cleansers to scrub. SpectraTile waterproof ceiling tiles are able to withstand power washes.

Easy Installation

Cut panels to fit irregular grid and perimeter edge trim. Use skill saw to cut to size and place Waterproof Ceiling Tiles into PVC or aluminum grid system. Use hole saw to cut penetrations for recessed light fixtures, sprinkler heads, and other components. Waterproof Ceiling Tiles can also be trimmed using utility knife.

Fit ceiling panels in place, free from damaged edges or other defects. Install level, in uniform plane, and free from twist or warp. Install hold-down clips to retain panels tight to grid system adjacent to exterior doors.

Delilvery, Storage and Handling

SpectraTile panels expand and contract with temperature changes. Do not install panels in facility subjected to extreme temperature changes and avoid these conditions during delivery and storage.

During delivery and storage keep sanitary ceiling panels flat on smooth dry surface. Avoid extreme temperature changes.

Do not install sanitary panels until building is enclosed, painting is complete, and temperature and humidity are similar to conditions of completed, occupied building.

Prior to installation, store materials for 24 hours minimum in area of installation to achieve temperature stability.
