Do you sell pilasters?

Yes. Pilasters are sold in pairs. To order a pilaster, select the whole column that suits your application. Then, select the option to “split” the column. Please enter remarks in your order to indicate that the column is intended for use as a pilaster.

I only want a decorative column, do you sell columns that are not load bearing?

Yes, we do sell some columns that are non-load bearing. However, all load-bearing columns are suitable for use in decorative/architectural applications.

Are your columns load bearing?

We offer an array of columns, the majority of which are load bearing. If a column is load bearing, the capacity is listed on the product details page. If a load-bearing capacity is not specified, then the column is non-structural/non-load bearing and designed for architectural use only.

Can columns be trimmed down to a shorter height?

Yes. The column style determines how much you can trim off of a column. See the product details page for specifics. Look for the “Architectural Feature” field.

What type of adhesive do I need to reassemble the column panel/halves?

For fiberglass columns, use any 15-20 minute epoxy or PL ® Construction adhesive. Use PL ® Premium Polyurethane Wood Glue on wood columns. PVC column wrap kits come with Siroflex adhesive.

How do I attach my column to a post?

Methods may vary depending on your application. Please refer to our column installation guides for specifics.

Are the capital and base measurements included in the height.

In general, they are not. Most standard capital and base sets do not contribute to the column shaft height. Decorative columns, except for PVC column wraps, are placed in-line and do contribute to the column height. Please refer to our “How to Order A Column” guide as well as the detailed product page for specifics.

How are your columns shipped?

The shipping method depends on the column weight and length. For the most part, columns are shipped via common carrier freight lines. All mantle columns are shipped via UPS ground service. Please refer to our shipping policy for details.

Do you have a return policy?

Columns are made to order and thus we regrettably cannot accept returns. Once an order goes into production (usually within 24 hours), we cannot cancel or issue refunds. Please refer to our returns policy for details. We encourage you to call or e-mail any questions you may have prior to ordering.
